Abstract

The evolution of a small distortion of the spherical shape of a vapor bubble during its single superstrong expansion and compression in deuterated acetone is studied. The spherical component of the vapor and liquid motion is governed by the hydrodynamics equations, allowing for nonequilibrium evaporation and condensation on the interphase surface. The non-spherical component of the interphase boundary motion is calculated taking into account approximate influence of the vapor density and inhomogeneity of the spatial distribution of the vapor pressure. It is found that the Rayleigh-Taylor instability is practically not appeared in the case with account of the vapor density influence whereas it has a significant effect on the shape of the bubble in the final part of its compression in the case with neglecting this influence.
