Determination of well perforation quality by means of pressure impulses

Abstract

The problem of short-wave acoustic logging of a perforated well is presented. The coefficients of reflection and transmission of pressure wave pulses at the boundary between the cased and perforated sections of the borehole are obtained. The conclusion is made about the possibility of using this method for the operational control of the quality of the formation opening.
