Following the detecting of the effect of dynamic blocking of W/O water-hydrocarbon dispersions (microdroplets of water in a hydrocarbon) a similar phenomenon was observed during the flow in capillaries of a biological disperse medium – a blood (red blood cells in plasma). In the experiments, blood was used with a different content of erythrocytes. Adding a glugicir as a preservative that is traditionally used in donor fences reduces the blood concentration by 10%. Ethylene-diamine-tetra-acetic acid (EDTA) practically preserves the initial concentration. Reducing the pressure to 20 kPa and below approximates the hydraulic conditions to living organisms. It turns out that the dynamic blocking found under such conditions is more stable and can form the basis of one of the possible mechanisms of the infarction.
